Tinrin Chew, RD, CSO

Tinrin Chew is a registered dietitian; she graduated from University of Hawaii and completed her internship at Detroit Medical Center in Michigan. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition and Board Certified in Adult Weight Management. She has spent most recent 20 years working with cancer patients and their families through Alta Bates Summit Comprehensive Cancer Center. She has her own private practice in Lafayette, CA.

Tinrin believes that feeding the right foods, nutrients, and supplements to the body would help maximize cancer treatment, reduce treatment related side effects, and improve quality of life and treatment outcome. She conducts nutrition workshops regularly at the Cancer Support Community and is a lecturer for the Bay Area Tumor Institute. She contributed a nutrition chapter to “Chemotherapy Survival Guide” and co-authored a chapter to “Nutrition Issues in Cancer Care” for health care professionals.
